The 55 Day Challenge: Day Ten; The best thing that has ever happened to you

The best thing that has ever happened to you:

I would have to say that the best thing that has ever happened to me was my Europe Trip 2 years ago. My parents took me and my sisters around Europe for 5 weeks and we visited so many places. I had the most amazing time and have memories that will last me a lifetime, such as walking down the Eiffel Tower in the pouring rain and wind!

Witchery Gold and Black Sandals

It was such a lovely surprise to come home this afternoon, head up to my room and see a Witchery Shoe box sitting lonely on my bed. My mum had been kind enough to buy me these gorgeous black and gold rimmed sandals. She told me that they were on sale and they were reduced from $120 to $13! What a bargain :)

The 55 Day Challenge: Day Nine; What were you like as a child

What were you like as a challenge:

Well, when I was a baby I never slept! I was a very awake baby and was always crying. My parents just couldn't get me to be quiet. As a child I was always the really tall, blonde one. Whenever I look at photos from my early school years, I wonder what my mum was thinking when she did my hair that morning. It was always a birds nest, haha. I had shoulder length hair with bangs, yes bangs, it was fabulous. As a child I hated conflict so whenever someone had an arguement of any kind I was always be the first to try and fix it, whether it was me that started it or not.

The 55 Day Challenge: Day Eight; Tell about an Adventure you have had

Tell about an Adventure you have had:

One time when I was a little girl, my mum took my best friend, my sister, my sister's bestfriend and her bestfriend (which happened to be my sister's best friend's mother) for a girly weekend down to Rotorua. Originally we were staying in a little motel, slightly out of town. When we got there, we met the owners and they seemed a little bit 'out of it', if you know what I mean, of course I was little so I didn't realize at the time. At night we were watching TV and somehow our TV was linked to what they were watching ... it wasn't pretty. So of course my mum and her best friend were really worried. So they decided at about 12AM in the morning, that we were going to pack up, leave in our rental car and escape to a 5 star hotel in the early morning. That was something I am sure we will all never forget, but it was definately an adventure.

Landscape: Vineyards

Ever since, I was a little girl watching the movie "The Parent Trap" for the first time, I have fallen in love with Vineyards. They are gorgeous and one day I would love to live on one, or near one, so that I can go with my husband, friends or family and drink one in the evenings. I can see it now.

Have you ever told anyone your deepest secret? If so, what was their reaction?

Well, yes I have and I must say, it wasn't exactly what I would have liked them to react like ...

As I was scrolling endlessly through my tumblr dashboard, I came across this picture. It immediately made me stop and read through it. These are probably some of the best words of wisdom I have ever discovered.

A Happy Song

I was watching one of my favourite movies of all time - Bride Wars - and the opening song into the movie made me so happy, so I have been listening to it continuously while scrolling through beautiful photos on tumblr. This song just made me so happy, I guarentee that if you listen to it, it will put a smile on your face. So do what I did and listen to it while scrolling through some pretty photos that will make you smile. I have posted some especially for you :)

I hope you have a smile on your face now. I certainly do.

The 55 Day Challenge: Day Five; A Random Funny Story

A Random Funny Story:

Unfortunately a few nights ago I was really sick and didn't get much sleep, so I basically sleep on and off throughout the whole day, while also watching movies and reading my book. That night my sister had a friend over to watch a movie with and I was so out of it, that I thought it was the morning and her friend had stayed the night.

The Fabulous Audrey Hepburn

On the way home on the plane from Noosa, Australia, I was lucky enough to experience the elegance, beauty and charm of Audrey Hepburn in the movie "Breakfast at Tiffany's". I had never watched the movie before then and I can't believe I waited so long to see it. Audrey Hepburn is so talented and gorgeous, if I could meet anyone in the world it would definately be her. She is now one of my role models and favourite celebrities :)

The 55 Day Challenge: Day Four; the most heartbroken you have been, tell the story

The most Heartbroken you have been. Tell the Story:

Well, I am going to have to say it was after I thought this guy liked me, but he never got in contact with me again. I had never thought that a guy liked me and it was such a new feeling to have, so I was so upset when I discovered he actually didn't like me, I was young though that I have definately learnt from the experience not to expect anything big out of little things.

The 55 Day Challenge: Day Three; The Worst Injury you got and how you got it

The Worst Injury you got and how you got it:

I have had quite a few injury's in my life ranging from broken arms to broken toes, however the worst injury I have got was probably when I was around 9. I was at my best friends birthday party and we were doing a running race. Whilst I was running, I saw a gap between two people and decided to run through it. Unfortunately those two people didn't have the same idea and accidently closed the gap as I was running through it. I immediately fell to the ground in a roly-poly and ... broke my collerbone straight in half. I remember lying on the ground saying to myself "don't cry, it's ok", but I couldn't stop myself and ended up crying uncontrollably for about an hour and a half.

The 55 Day Challenge: Day Two; Who has made the biggest impact in your life, and why?

Who has made the biggest impact on your life and why:

My mum, definately. She has been there for me throughout all the hard times in my life so far. I know that I can rely on her with all of my problems and can trust her with all my secrets. She has always give me the absolute best advice and is my best friend. She gives me advice about clothes, friends, boy, the works. I love her so much.

Leblanc Art: Shane Bowden Archibald and Doug Moran

While I was away in Noosa, Australia, I walked past this gorgeous art gallery called Leblanc Art on the way to the beach everyday. There were many different artists work in the gallery but the one that really caught my eye was these fabulous Chanel N.5 prints created by Shane Bowden Archibald and Doug Moran.

I absolutely love the way he had used the  Chanel bottle design and created so many different works of art. I would love to be able to buy one of these for my bedroom or maybe even future apartment/house one day, however they are quite expensive.

The 55 Day Challenge: Day One; Tell about the best day of your life

Tell about the best day of your life:

The first thing that springs to mind when I think about the best day of my life was the last day I spent at Kahunui, which was the school camp that I went on at the start of this year for 4 weeks (a month). Over the long period of time that I spend there, I had such an amazing time and made many new life long friendships. Unfortunately I also got extremely homesick, so the best day of my life was seeing my mum and dad for the first time in what seemed like years, on that emotional last day of Kahunui. I can remember so clearly all the parents walking up the drive to all of our houses and everyone just running to see their parents. It was the best feeling hugging my parents after such a long time apart. It is definately a day I will never forget.

Australia: Week Two

I loved reading the new Elle which featured Rosie Huntington Whitely. It was such an interesting article and was amazing to read in the sunny weather.

Tanning under my large, floppy seafolly hat in the sun.

Spending a day by the pool.

I treated myself to this amazing banana and caramel tart with cream ... honestly one of the best things I have ever tasted.

I spent a lot of time shopping while over in Australia and one of my favourite shops was Country Road. Although we have it in New Zealand, they had a lot of new items in stock and I managed to buy myself some pretty little white chucks with fluro orange soles.

The water in the pool and the Palmer Coolum Resort, in Australia was a picture perfect blue colour. I just couldn't resist taking a photo.

A chocolate tart with vanilla ice cream that I had for dessert on our last night away :)

A picture I took, before going out for dinner on our last night.

I had such a fabulous time away in Australia, spending quality time with my family and dining out most nights. I am ever so thankful that I am able to have holidays away, and will never forget this amazing trip.

Australia: Week One

Hello Everyone, I am sorry for the lack of posting recently but I was away for two weeks on a family vacation in Australia, so I decided to do two posts for each week I was away about what I did in Australia :)

The shopping in Australia was so amazing, I ran out of money a lot faster than I thought I would. In the first few days I was there I bought these gorgeous lilac coloured jeans - I adore this colour now! - and this simple but lovely white, Elwood t-shirt.

The sea was extremely beautiful, the water was a perfect blue and it glistened in the sun.

My little sister has recently taken up surfing as her most favourite sport and for her birthday my parents bought her this amazing surf board, with colourful patterns on the back.

I discovered these picture perfect roses with a cute, mini, blackboard that had the price written on it.

These are honestly the most amazingly seasoned french fries I have ever tasted, sweet but savory, from my favourite cafe and restaurant Aromas.

A gorgeous sunset one night.
